Packages are stored in private encrypted storage under non-guessable paths and are accessible only to authenticated Up North Solutions staff. Eligible loan and real-estate signing assignments may be conducted remotely through a secure remote online notarization platform. The hiring company works directly with Up North Solutions, your company does not need to create a platform business subscription to hire us.

How Our RON Closing Process Works

Submit the Assignment
The hiring company provides the transaction, signer, scheduling, and closing requirements through the Up North Solutions RON Signing Portal.

Assignment Review & Confirmation
Up North Solutions reviews the assignment and confirms availability, assignment terms, and scheduling.

Secure Document Delivery
After acceptance, the hiring company provides the closing package through an approved secure document-delivery method.

Signer Coordination
When authorized by the hiring company, Up North Solutions contacts the signer directly to confirm the appointment and provide appropriate preparation information.

RON Session Preparation
Up North Solutions prepares the Remote Online Notarization closing session using its RON technology platform and enters the appropriate signer and transaction information.

Signer Invitation & Identity Verification
The signer receives the secure RON session invitation and completes the platform’s required identity-verification process.

Live RON Closing
The signer meets with the Up North Solutions Remote Online Notary/Signing Agent through a live audio-video session. The signing agent facilitates execution of the documents and completes the required notarizations.

Completed Documents
After the signing, completed documents are handled and returned according to the hiring company’s instructions.

What Your Client Should Expect

The signer should generally be prepared to:

Have access to a computer or compatible device with internet access, camera, and microphone
Use the secure RON session invitation provided for the appointment
Complete the identity-verification process required by the RON platform
Have an acceptable government-issued identification document available when required
Join the session at the scheduled time
Follow the signing agent’s instructions for completing the electronic signing and notarization process

Eligibility is confirmed per transaction. Not every signer, document, transaction, or jurisdiction qualifies for remote online notarization.

Does my company need its own remote notarization platform account?

No. You hire Up North Solutions directly. We create and configure the closing session after the assignment is accepted, and the signer receives the secure invitation.

How are fees handled?

Fees are quoted per assignment based on location, timing, package size, printing, scanbacks, and document-return method. Up North Solutions invoices the hiring company directly according to the agreed assignment terms.

Does submitting an assignment confirm the signing?

No. Submitting a signing request does not constitute acceptance. Up North Solutions reviews each request and confirms availability and assignment terms before the signing is scheduled.

Do you explain loan terms to borrowers?

No. We do not explain loan terms, interpret documents, provide legal, financial, mortgage, or settlement advice, or answer lender-specific questions for signers.
